FLANDERS, N.Y. — A Calverton woman was arrested after she was caught asleep at the wheel while impaired by drugs in Flanders Monday night, police said.
According to Southampton Police, at approximately 11:52 p.m., a call came in about someone sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle in the area of Flanders Road and Oak Avenue.
Marcia Lynn Ekster, 43, was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, police said. He was processed at Southampton Police headquarters and held for arraignment in the morning, police said.
