LONG ISLAND, NY — A wind advisory remains in effect across Long Island through Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.
A wind advisory remains in effect until 11 p.m. Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, with gusts between 50 and 55 mph, the NWS said. Isolated gusts around 60 mph are possible.
“Guest winds will blow around unsafe objects. Tree limbs could be damaged and some power outages could occur,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Take extra care and secure outdoor items.”
Monday is expected to be sunny, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees, according to the NWS.
