WESTHAMPTON, N.Y. — A Westhampton man, 22, was arrested Wednesday after being found in possession of child pornography, police said.
According to the New York State Police, following a cyber tip about Internet crimes against children and a thorough investigation, the New York State Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Computer Crimes Unit was able to make the arrest.
Kevin Walsh was processed at the New York State Troopers barracks in Riverside. was charged with three counts of promoting child sexual performance, a D felony, and three counts of possession of child sexual performance, a Class E felony, police said.
Walsh was arraigned in Southampton Town Court on Wednesday and remanded to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail, police said.
