I have to admit I wasn't much of a comedy club guy until I was assigned to cover the opening show of the 'Sticks and Stones Comedy Club'. I arrived that evening at the Southampton Cultural Center not knowing what to expect. The show was sold out and amazing.
I am now volunteering to announce that performances will continue after Labor Day and according to the founder, Abby Russell, year round.
They book only top-tier comics that have appeared on various late-night TV shows, as well as Netflix and cable specials.

There's not a bad seat at Southampton Cultural Centre, as the seats gradually increase in order and the acoustics are world-class.
The live schedule for September is loaded from September 1st with Headliners Marina Franklin, Matt Ritter and John Butera. Next up on September 2nd will be the Legendary D'yan Forest and Friends, including Hamptons man for town Pete Cestaro.

Every night there are two shows, one starts at 7pm. and the other at 9 p.m.
Also, Sag Harbor funnyman and local Joe Winchell is the club's Emcee. It's all happening at Sticks and Stones Comedy Club at Southampton Cultural Center (25 Pond Lane).
Doors open one hour before each show and you'll be able to enjoy drinks and snacks in the art gallery before the comedians light up the stage.
