The Southampton community mourned many who died during the past year and we wanted to remember them as we enter a new year.
This list is by no means complete. If your loved one's name is missing, please mention it in the comments below. Let's take a moment to remember each and every one. Their names appear in alphabetical order by last name.
• Don Alexander: On April 6, William Donald Alexander, a retired adjunct professor, died at his Southampton home in Southampton. He was 64.
• George Allison Andrews: Former Southampton village clerk Andrews died on November 11 aged 88.
• Dr. Ralph H. Brancaccio: Brancaccio, a retired physician and Southampton resident, died in May. It was 96.
• Mary Schuyler Campbell: A long-time Southampton resident who was a retired teacher and dog rescuer and rose lover died on May 24 at the age of 73.
• Wesley Carrion: Carrion, 90, died after being pulled from his burning Sag Harbor home on Oct. 1. He was a decorated veteran.
• Carissa Castillo: Castillo, a 29-year-old Shirley resident and mother of two, died July 25 when the SUV she was driving collided with a bus on County Road 39 in Southampton.
• Mary Viola Collum: The co-owner of a family sign business in Southampton and a motel on the Shinnecock Canal, Collum died in July at age 85.
• James Damato: A designer and carpenter who lived in Sag Harbor, Damato died May 2 at age 50.
• Alice Darden: A longtime resident of Bridgehampton, Darden died at age 101 on January 23.
• Robert Dash: Abstract impressionist painter Dash died at his home at the Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack, which he founded, on September 14.
• John E. Dombkowski: Dombkowski, a Sagaponack resident, died in May.
• Kelly A. Doroski: The 23-year-old mother from Sag Harbor was killed in a car accident in East Hampton on February 7th. She was a devoted mother to her son Joshua Corrigan, who was just 22 months old at the time.
• Ed Earle: A longtime Sag Harbor resident, Earle, 57, died at Southampton Hospital on March 15. He suffered from brain cancer.

• Jessie E. Fanning: The Southampton resident died on February 1.
• Jesse Fick: A lifelong resident of Sag Harbor Village, Fisk died at age 97 on October 15.

• Thomas Golesky: Thomas John “T-Bone” Goleski, of Southampton, died Jan. 8 at his winter home in Stuart, Florida. He was 87 years old.
• Bonnie Gurwicz: Gurwicz, who was an advocate in the fight against ovarian cancer, died in May.
• Edwin Hedges: Edwin Hedges, a resident of Bridgehampton, died April 16 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead at the age of 81.
• Ralph Howell: Howell split his time between Sag Harbor and Fountain Hills, Ariz. He died on September 25, 2013 after a long battle with illness. It was 81.
• Ben Hull III: The former owner of Hull Chevrolet on Hill Street in Southampton Village died in April.
• Eileen Kenna: Eileen (Gibbons) Kenna, an active member of Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Southampton Village, died in October. He was 77 years old.
• Judge Bernard Jackson: A New York State Supreme Court justice known for paving the way for African-Americans in law enforcement and jurisprudence died Jan. 17 at age 86. He was a resident of Water Mill.
• Jeanne Krajewski: Krajewski co-owned Judge's Restaurant in Hampton Bays with her husband and was a member of the Nine Holers at Southampton Golf Club. He died on April 8 after a short battle with cancer. It was 87.
• Robert A. Landrum: A longtime resident of Sag Harbor, Landrum died Dec. 11 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He would have been 49 this month.
• Senator Frank Lautenberg: US Senator Frank Lautenberg, New Jersey Democrat and frequent Southampton visitor, died on June 3 at the age of 89.
• Paul Lipomi: The former Sag Harbor resident was 86 when he died in Southampton on March 24.
• Dashiell Marder: A Springs native who went missing while snorkelling in Indonesia last April was remembered at a memorial service in September. His family owns Marders Landscaping in Bridgehampton.
• Eleanor Massarotti Musarra: A member of Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, he died in January at age 89.
• Ralph O'Her: After a long illness, O'Hear, a former resident of Sag Harbor, died Aug. 21. He was 46 years old.
• Louis F. Parillo: A resident of Neromylos, he died in January at the age of 91.
• Shonda Hopson-Pettaway: After a battle with cancer, Southampton resident Hopson-Pettaway died on April 17. She was 49 and died just two days before her 50th birthday.
• Ronald Peterson: A resident of Southampton, Peterson taught earth science and general science at Southampton High School and coached the golf team. He died in June aged 76.
• Dorothy M. Renna: The 92-year-old from Sag Harbor died July 3 at Hamptons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Southampton.
• Jack Rist: A former Southampton fire chief and Southampton business owner died in March.
• Charles Rose: Former Water Mill resident Charles F. Rose of Blackwood, New Jersey, died Jan. 28 at Kennedy University Hospital in Washington, D.C., of complications from pneumonia and a stroke. It was 77.
• Ted Rosko Jr.: A long-time North Sea firefighter and former chief who also worked for Southampton's highways department, Rosko died in January.
• Laurie Saroka: Soroka, a member of The Hampton Classic Horse Show, died Nov. 26 of complications from a chronic spinal cord condition. It was 61.
• Louis Segreti: A decorated World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps, Segretti had lived in Southampton since 1987. He died on April 17 at the age of 91.
• Angela Scavarelli: Scavarelli, a devoted mother and grandmother who lived in Southampton, died in February aged 88.
• Henry L. Storm: The Southampton resident died in June aged 95.
• Raymond H. Topping Sr.: Topping was a 66-year member of the Bridgehampton Fire Department and the former fire chief. He died on January 19 at the age of 85.
• Michael Warchola: Southampton Village resident Michael Warchola, a World War II veteran, died in February at age 94.
• Mary Ward: A lifelong resident of Sag Harbor, Ward died at home surrounded by her family on December 5th. He was 66 years old and had pancreatic cancer.
• Roger Westerhoff: A member of the Westerhoff family that owned longtime Southampton Village restaurant John Duck's, died in April at age 78.
• John Corwith White: The head of the Sagaponack farming family and longtime member of the Bridgehampton Fire Department died on May 28. He was 91 years old.
• Violet A. Wines: Wines, who helped her husband through his three terms as Southampton Mayor, died peacefully at home on December 3, aged 88.
