NORTH HAVEN, N.Y. — A 2-year-old boy was found floating unconscious in a North Haven pool Sunday, police said.
According to Southampton Police, the incident occurred at approximately 12:28 p.m. a call came in about the toddler, who was found in a pool on Sunset Beach Road, police said.
Southampton Police, Sag Harbor Village Police and Sag Harbor EMS responded to the scene and performed CPR on the child, police said. He was taken by ambulance to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and then transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital for further treatment, which was ongoing as of Monday afternoon, police said.
Southampton police detectives, as well as code enforcement, are continuing the investigation, police said.
