QUOGUE, NY — Police have arrested the thief who stole $4,400 from Schmidt's Country Market in Quogue this week.
According to Quogue Village Police, on Jan. 6 a report came in of an overnight burglary at the market on Jessup Avenue.
The business was closed and unoccupied at the time of the incident, police said. Quogue Village Police and detectives responded to investigate.
On Wednesday, Andrew Blankenship, 35, of Shirley, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, a felony. third-degree grand larceny, a felony. and third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, police said.
He was processed, charged and released on his own recognizance for a future Quogue Village Justice Court date, police said.
