The Board of Health, at the request of the Commissioner of Health Services, examines matters relating to the maintenance and improvement of public health. If a quorum is not reached, the meeting will be adjourned. Members of the public who wish to speak at the Board of Health meeting during the public portion should send an email to boardofhealth@suffolkcountyny.gov and write in the subject line, “SPEAK AT THE BOH MEETING” and include in the body of the email the following: your name, address, telephone number and the subject you expect to address to the Board.
The public portion of the meeting generally takes place within the first few minutes after the meeting begins. The time limit for speakers is three minutes. You can attend in person at Great River (address above) or you can participate using Zoom.
Join via Zoom: If you're calling from a phone number instead of joining with audio from your computer, include the phone number you'll use to call into the meeting so you can “unmute” and hear from the team during duration of the common part. Please note that the meeting may not start on time and you may be in the “waiting room” for several minutes until the Chair calls the meeting to order.
