SAG HARBOR, NY — Sag Harbor residents turned out to support their students on Tuesday.
The district's 2022-2023 budget of $45,993,327 passed by a margin of 911 to 197. The budget contained a proposed tax levy of 2.5 percent and was within the tax levy cap.
Voters also balked at a proposal that allows reserve funds to be used for HVAC unit ventilator upgrades throughout the district at no additional cost to the taxpayer. they approved the measure 961 to 143.
Board of Education candidates Grainne Cohen received 883 votes and Ronald Reed 773.
