Main Beach Surf and Sport announced Monday that legendary board shapers and paddlers, Joe and Jack Bark, will attend the 5th annual Paddle Race for the Baykeeper event on Saturday, May 9 in Sag Harbor.
Joe Bark, of Bark Paddleboards, is known for his legendary shaping skills in creating some of the fastest SUPs and prone paddleboards in the industry.
His son, Jack, most recently won the famous Molokai to Oahu race (aka M2O) in 2014.
The race will be held at Havens Beach in Northwest Harbor, overlooking historic Sag Harbor.
Joe will be the Master Board Shaper for the event while Jack will be the Champion Prone Paddle Racer.
There will be a Stand-Up Paddle segment (3-mile Leisure Lunch, 6-mile Elite Course) and a Surf Ski, Canoe Outrigger and Seated Craft Kayak segment (3-mile Leisure Lunch, 6-mile Elite Course).
Event cost is $75 for pre-race registration and $90 for Day of Registration.
All proceeds will benefit Peconic Baykeeper's clean water programs.
