SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, and Patch has what you need to know before you head to the polls.
The ballots will include choices for US president, US Congressional, New York State Senate and New York State Assembly races. North Fork voters will vote on propositions including Proposition 1, the Equal Protection Amendment.
Proposition 2 aims to improve water quality in Suffolk County by upgrading and modernizing wastewater infrastructure and expanding sewers. A special fund, created by a 1/8-cent increase in the county's sales tax through 2060, would address the issues.
