SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — A crash in Southampton closed County Road 39 for several hours Friday, police said.
According to Southampton Police, the crash occurred at approximately 11:35 a.m. on County Road 39 near Tuckahoe Lane. One of the drivers involved hit a utility pole, which collapsed onto the vehicle and caused wires to fall onto the roadway, police said.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries, police said.

The road was closed for several hours after the crash. From Friday at 5 p.m. both westbound lanes and one eastbound lane were open, police said.
