CLINTON, CT — Robert Tait has been hired as the city's next finance director, Interim City Manager Richard Brown announced Tuesday.
Brown said Tate has “a wealth of municipal finance experience that will serve Clinton well.”
“Bob Tate not only has a great understanding of municipal finances, but he is able to convey that information to the City Council and members of the public,” Brown said in a news release.
Tait has served as controller in Fairfield, chief financial officer in Meriden and most recently 16 years as chief financial officer in Newtown.
He was active in the CT GFOA (Government Finance Officers Association), according to the press release.
Tait is expected to begin work on April 29, according to Brown.
