EAST QUOGUE, N.Y. — An East Quogue mother was killed when an AutoZone delivery driver struck two pedestrians before fleeing the scene in North Babylon Monday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
According to police, 26-year-old Donnell Hicks was driving a 2017 Dodge Ram truck when he hit Ann Marie Christina and Eric Krems in front of the AutoZone located at 1295 Deer Park Avenue at 1:04 p.m.
Hicks did not stop and continued traveling north on Deer Park Avenue while dragging Christina, who was pinned under the vehicle, police said.
Hicks made a right turn onto Shade Street in Deer Park, where Christina was pulled from the truck and stopped in the road, police said. Hicks continued on his way.
Christina, 38, of East Quogue, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where she was pronounced dead. Krems, 40, was treated and released by Good Samaritan.

“I love you more than life itself,” Krems wrote to Christina on the page. “You are my everything now and always.”
Christina replied, in 2015, “I love you more than anything…I love you more every day…I look forward to spending every day with you for the rest of my life. .I love you to infinity Eric” .
Christina leaves behind two young children.

An investigation revealed Hicks may be at the AutoZone located at 595 Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma, police said. Police responded to the location and found Hicks at 1:57 p.m
Hicks, of Springfield Gardens in Queens, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. He will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned in Central Islip District Court on Tuesday.
