Sag Harbor Elementary School students used gloves to make a wish come true for community members in need.
The mitten project, which began at Sag Harbor Elementary School several years ago, provides an opportunity for those in need to write a wish, which is then displayed on a mitten that is hung in the elementary school lobby.
During the week of December 8th, elementary students and their caregivers carefully select a glove and make a wish come true.
Wishes for 500 gloves this season include art supplies, winter coats, toys and school-related items.
Once all the wishes arrive, the school, through the guidance office, works to make them come true.
