EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. — A 15-year-old Long Island boy with autism who had been missing in East Hampton since Wednesday was found safe in New York City on Monday, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, at 4:15 p.m., the MTA notified police that John Gray was located at Penn Station, safe and well.
He was taken to East Hampton Township police headquarters in Wainscott to be reunited with his family, police said. The circumstances surrounding his departure from East Hampton do not appear suspicious. appears to be a hit-and-run situation, police said.
John was last seen on Three Mile Harbor Drive in East Hampton at 8:45 am. of Wednesday.
