MANORVILLE, N.Y. — A Mastic Beach man was seriously injured in a car accident in Manorville Friday afternoon, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, the crash happened at 4:30 p.m. on Barnes Street, near Moriches-Middle Island Road.
John Boocock, 26, was driving a 1997 Jeep Cherokee northbound on Barnes Road when he lost control of the vehicle, which went off the road, police said. The vehicle then struck a fire hydrant and overturned, police said.
Boocock was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, police said.
