HAMPTON BAY, N.Y. — A Riverhead man was arrested recently after he intentionally crashed his car into a parked vehicle, causing a chain reaction, police said.
According to Southampton Police, a 911 call came in on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. about a car accident with injuries on Wakefield Road in Hampton Bays.
An investigation revealed that Glenn Stevens, 72, intentionally drove his car into a parked Nissan Rogue and the force of the impact caused the Rogue to crash into a parked RV nearby, police said. Stevens totaled his car in the process and was taken to the hospital in pain. after his medical release he was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal mischief, police said.
He was held overnight and appeared at Southampton Crown Court on February 12, where he was released, police said.
