FLANDERS, N.Y. — A man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after hitting a pedestrian and fleeing the scene of a crash in Flanders Sunday night, police said.
According to Southampton Police, the incident occurred at approximately 7:43 p.m. on Oak Avenue. Jun R. GarciaFuentes, 25, struck a female pedestrian and fled the scene, police said.
He was then seen driving drunk in the area. arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. leaving the scene of an accident with injury, a misdemeanor and a traffic violation, police said.
He was taken to Southampton police headquarters to await arraignment this morning, police said.
