SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — A Riverhead man has been charged with felony driving while intoxicated after a two-car crash in the Southampton Car Wash parking lot Saturday afternoon, police said.
According to Southampton Police, the crash happened at 1:37 p.m. at the business on County Road 39. No injuries were reported, but Jonnathan Pena-Tacuri, 29, of Riverhead was found to be intoxicated, police said.
Pena-Tacuri was arrested at the scene and then transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters for processing. was charged with felony DWI and several traffic violations, police said. He was additionally charged with false personation, a misdemeanor, after he gave his real name and date of birth to investigators, police said.
Pena-Tacuri was held overnight to be arraigned in Southampton Town Court, police said.
