The team is 5-0 against Sayville, Mount Sinai, Shoreham, Elwood/JGlenn and East Hampton. The team consists of a list of standout girls such as Tiana Guevara, Talia Guevara and Laura Nolan.
Seawolves dominate in win over Binghamton
Stony Brook is now 11-6 overall and 3-0 in the America East after beating Binghamton on Wednesday night. Senior Dave Coley reached 20 points for the second straight game as the Seawolves beat Binghamton 67-47.
'Stretch' Ryder honored at Coaches vs. Cancer
Remembered as a devoted father of a player and fan who exuded class and support for every Vikings coach and player, “Stretch” Ryder was honored at the annual Coaches vs Cancer basketball game Thursday at Schreiber.
On Saturday night, the Garden City High School gymnasium turned back the clock for its returning basketball stars. The game was hosted by the Men's Association with Bob Basel and Mickey Paxton running the spot for the evening.
Tom Schreiber is a top pick in the MLL Collegiate Draft
East Meadow native Tom Schreiber was the top overall pick in last week's Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft. Schreiber, a senior midfielder at Princeton, a two-time first-team All-America selection and three-time All-Ivy honoree, was drafted by the Ohio Machine, the Daily Princetonian reported.
