BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY — If you're looking for a job, there's an opportunity coming soon in Bridgehampton.
The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center, located at 551 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton, is hosting a job fair on Wednesday, March 15 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The expo is a “great opportunity for anyone looking to get involved in the trade and construction industry,” the BHCCRC said.
The Center is partnering with developer Georgica Green Ventures and the Workforce Development Institute as part of BHCCRC's 'Teach Me How to Fish' strategy. Georgica Green Ventures will build 50 affordable rental housing units — and is hiring, BHCCRC said.
The jobs, all basic, include a journeyman electrician, at $25 to $40 an hour. HVAC installer, up to $34 an hour. workers? security; tourniquet technicians; assistant property manager; and a site inspector.
Also, the first 50 people to RSVP and show up by 6 p.m. they will receive a $25 gift card. the first 50 people in general to show up will receive a $25 gift card. So that means if a person RSVPs and shows up, they will also receive $50 in gift cards.
Applicants must be over 18 years of age, authorized to work in New York State, and speak and understand English. A high school diploma is required for most positions. HVAC and electrical positions require additional experience.
