SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — South Fork residents who feel more comfortable having their groceries delivered to their doorstep now have a popular option: Instacart announced this week that for the first time, delivery is available at locations throughout the Hamptons.
Instacart will deliver groceries and household items in as little as one hour from Stop & Shop and JP or Juice Press, an announcement said.
All Stop & Shop and JP locations throughout the Hamptons are available in the Instacart marketplace, the release said. “Whether residents need groceries for the week or a last-minute juice, smoothie or bowl delivery – they can now have their fresh produce, protein and pantry staples delivered,” the announcement reads.
Here's how Instacart works:
- Customers will have access to a variety of fresh groceries, frozen goods and pantry staples for delivery.
- Stop & Shop delivery is available from 6am. until 10 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays and Sundays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., while JP delivery is available from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
- Customers can start shopping on Instacart by visiting the desktop website or opening the app on their mobile device, entering their address and going to a retail store.
- An Instacart personal shopper will pick and deliver the order within the customer's designated time frame — whether they choose to receive their order as quickly as possible or schedule their delivery in advance, the release said.
“We're excited to launch Instacart in the Hamptons for the first time and make online grocery delivery even more accessible to more people in the US,” said Andrew Nodes, vice president of retail at Instacart. “At Instacart, we're committed to supporting our retail partners, including local favorites Stop & Shop and JP, by helping them connect with their customers online so they can more easily get their groceries and goods from retailers that they love.”
