SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, students at Southampton High School had a Celtic experience they'll remember forever.
Select members of the Southampton High School choir sang at the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Southampton in March with international singing trio the Celtic Tenor, Southampton Union Free School District said.
Choir members sang backup vocals on three of the Celtic Tenor's songs, “Westering Home,” “Only a Prayer Will Do” and “Ireland's Call,” the district said.
The band is an international sensation: According to the Celtic Tenors website: “They truly love what they do and you'll see it shine through in every performance of beautiful Celtic songs, soulful classics, a capellas and popular contemporary songs.”
