FLANDERS, NY — A woman was arrested Sunday after stealing a purse in the East End, police said.
According to Southampton Police, Carolina G. Galarza-Vega, 25, of Flanders, was arrested after a police investigation found that while working at a business located on County Road 39 in Southampton, she stole a woman's purse customer who was left in the store.
Galarza-Vega was charged with fourth-degree robbery, a felony, and petty theft, a misdemeanor, police said.
She was processed at Southampton police headquarters and then released on an appearance ticket to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court at a later date, police said.
