HAMPTON BAY, N.Y. — A Hampton Bays man was arrested Wednesday morning after he crashed into a home while intoxicated and refused to stop, police said.
According to Southampton Police, the incident occurred at 6:24 a.m. when Juan Carlos Infante-Yanza Panda, 39, was seen driving a motor vehicle north on Ponquogue Avenue after crashing into the side of a private residence. .
Police tried to stop Infante-Yanza Panta, but he refused to be pulled over. eventually stopped in front of the Hampton Bays library, police said.

Infante-Yanza Panta was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI, leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, trespassing and several other New York State vehicle and traffic law violations, police said.
He was taken to Southampton police headquarters to be processed for arrest and held over to appear in Southampton Town Court for arraignment, police said.
