RIVERSIDE, NY — A Riverhead man was arrested Wednesday after he was found driving on a suspended license and in possession of cocaine, police said.
According to Southampton Police, the incident took place at approximately 5:19 p.m. when an officer on patrol in Riverside observed the driver of a 2016 Honda Fit passing vehicles in an unsafe manner on Flanders Street near Vail Avenue.
A traffic stop was conducted and George Devlin, 64, was found to be operating with a revoked license. he was also in possession of a quantity of cocaine, police said.

He was arrested at the scene and then taken to Southampton police headquarters for processing, police said. Devlin was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors, as well as several traffic violations, police said.
He was released on an appearance ticket to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court at a future date, police said.
