GREENPORT, NY — Brides-to-be can soon enjoy a magical afternoon on the North Fork as the beloved Brecknock Hall Bridal Boutique Wedding Showcase, hosted by Peconic Landing, returns this year.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Brecknock Hall, an East End “wedding venue and historic gem,” located at 1 Brecknock Road in Greenport, organizers said.
The showcase is free to all community members planning a wedding or other celebration and will feature top wedding vendors from across the East End.
The Wedding Showcase was originally started as a way to give back and support the many local vendors who donate their goods and services to Peconic Landing's Veterans Day Wedding Giveback, an annual event that provides a free wedding each year to current or former military personnel as recognition of their service, Peconic Landing said.
This year, local businesses not affiliated with the Wedding Giveback will be able to apply for a table at the showcase. There will be a limited number of vendors allowed to participate in each category, and new vendors will pay a $250 registration fee.
Interested parties should contact Brecknock Hall Sales and Events Coordinator Valerie Tirelli-Hallock at events@brecknockhall.com.
At the event, engaged couples, along with their families and friends, will have the opportunity to meet wedding professionals such as caterers, photographers, florists, stylists, decorators, bakers and more. Select vendors will offer incentives to couples who book services as a result of the exhibition.
The popular event will feature food samples, live music from the Gordon Dukes Band and more. Creative and locally inspired wedding favors and floral inspirations will also be on display.
“I am continually amazed by the generosity of local vendors who support our annual Veterans Day Wedding Giveaway,” said Robert J. Syron, president and CEO of Peconic Landing. “This event is our way of saying thank you and highlighting the incredible businesses and talent here on Long Island. If you or a loved one is planning a wedding, don't miss this opportunity to meet these incredible local vendors who are passionate by supporting their community”.
