Scalera joined the City of Southampton Parks and Recreation Department in the beach-to-beach lifeguard competition at Scott Cameron Beach in Bridgehampton. The annual inter-beach lifeguard competition matches Southampton Town lifeguards from the eastern beaches (Flying Point, Scott Cameron, Mecox, Sagg Main and Long Beach) against the western beaches (Ponquogue, Tiana and Pikes). This year, the Western Beaches team of Ethan Mitchell, Liam Bass, Ryan Duca & Patrick Banks, Catie Parry, Danielle Parry, Ciera Mc Keon, Delaney Smith, Stephanie Taibe and Allie Incarnato took top honors.
