Annual Messiah Sing or Listen at the Kate
The popular community event Handel's Messiah Sing or Listen, sponsored by Cappella
Cantorum, will take place on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in Katharine Hepburn
Cultural Arts Center (The Kate), 300 Main Street, Old Saybrook. All are welcome – sit down
come back and listen, or join us out front and sing along with other talented singers in the area to create
an excellent holiday experience.
Those wishing to sing should arrive and be seated in sections by 1:30 p.m. for a short rehearsal.
Bring your own Messiah score if you have it, otherwise copies will be available to borrow for the event.
The show will start at 2pm, conducted by Simon Holt and accompanied
pianist Blake Hansen; Among the soloists of the year are Sarah Yanovitch (soprano), Rachel Abrams
(alto), Spencer Hamlin (tenor) and John Ong (bass).
