SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — Stony Brook Southampton Hospital will participate in a full-scale mass casualty drill involving local police, fire and EMS departments, officials said.
The event takes place on Sunday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to noon.
“The exercise is an exercise and will not disrupt any hospital services. All staff, patients and visitors will have unrestricted access. Local residents will also have access to and from their homes during the exercise,” it said. the hospital.
Residents should be aware that participating emergency vehicles will be on site as well as patient transporters, the hospital said.
