SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. — A beloved tradition returns this Labor Day weekend as the 78th Annual Shinnecock Powwow unfolds, a vibrant celebration of Native American culture featuring authentic arts, crafts, food, dance and music.
The Powwow will be held August 30th through September 2nd on the Shinnecock Reservation and is open to the general public.
This year's Powwow will feature dancers, drummers, entertainment and vendors from across Indian Country, offering both traditional and modern experiences. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness the rich cultural heritage of the Shinnecock Nation and other Native American tribes through “dynamic performances and engaging activities,” the release said.
